Eager to boost online sales, MATCHESFASHION followed Pinterest’s advice, pairing a conversion campaign with an always-on awareness campaign and achieved a stunning 42% increase in ROAS.1

MATCHESFASHION is the modern luxury shopping destination for discerning fashion customers around the globe, both online and in its Mayfair store in London.

They were looking to drive conversions and boost online sales of their high-end men’s, women’s and homeware ranges. With Pinterest’s strong user base of fashionistas, it was the perfect fit for their campaign.

Mixing always-on with a conversion campaign
Drawing on experience with fashion retailers, Pinterest advised increasing share of voice in order to increase share of market. And so, working with performance agency Assembly, MATCHESFASHION decided to adopt a multi-objective strategy. Their always-on campaign boosted brand awareness, and they complemented this with seasonal tent pole conversion campaigns to drive sales.

Targeting users interested in men’s and women’s fashion and homeware, their carousel, standard and video ads featured high-end editorial-style images with a clear call to action. MATCHESFASHION were delighted to see excellent results. And fast.

Combining brand awareness with conversions allowed us to ultimately drive more sales, and to get great results fast.”

Digital Marketing Manager, MATCHESFASHION

Pinterest proves a perfect fit
By combining upper funnel objectives such as awareness with lower funnel objectives like conversions, MATCHESFASHION were able to boost online sales quickly, exceeding expectations. In fact, they saw a 42% increase in return on ad spend (ROAS) and a 40% increase in average order value compared to the brand’s previous performance (prior to implementing multi-objective).1
