Every week, millions of people use Pinterest to discover recipes and meals that spark inspiration. To help transform their online plans into real-world action, we’re collaborating with Walmart to pilot a new shoppable recipe experience in the US. From finding inspiration on Pinterest to checking out on Walmart.com, we’re making grocery shopping a fast and seamless process.
Pinterest users can add ingredients from eligible recipe Pins straight to their online cart on Walmart’s website or app with a quick tap on the “Shop Ingredients” button. Plus, shoppers can swap products for alternatives, see real-time pricing, and select their preferred store for pickup or delivery.

Over the last few years, online grocery shopping has reached new heights. In July 2025, online grocery sales in the US surged 26% year-over-year to $10 billion, with approximately 61% of households buying groceries online.1 That’s why this new feature delivers exactly what people expect these days: seamless shopping experiences.
“Our collaboration with Walmart makes it even easier for people to turn a spark of inspiration, like a holiday recipe, into real-life moments,” said Julie Towns, VP of Product Marketing at Pinterest. “Through this new experience, we’re bringing our vision to make every Pin shoppable closer to reality.”
This shoppable recipe experience with Walmart is rolling out to Pinterest users over the coming weeks.
