When Ellos needed to prioritise efficiency in Q3 2024, they once again turned to Pinterest as a partner to help them optimise cost efficiency while still driving meaningful sales results. The newly posed question was: could Pinterest's new AI-powered Performance+ shopping campaigns deliver even better efficiency than their existing Pinterest strategy?
To put Performance+ to the test, Ellos designed a rigorous A/B split test comparing Performance+ shopping campaigns against their standard shopping campaigns. They laid a strong foundation with resilient Conversions API implementation and healthy product feeds to ensure accurate measurement and a strong Pinterest presence.
The test ran for six weeks, targeting adults 18+ across both prospecting and retargeting audiences. By using Pinterest's native A/B testing tool, they could directly compare performance between the two approaches (Performance+ vs Non-Performance+) while keeping all other variables constant.
