More ways to search for recipes

In 2013, we committed to making Pins more useful for Pinners and businesses. We introduced Rich Pins, which include extra details about the recipe, product, article, place or movie right on the Pin itself. We’re going to keep making Pins more useful this year, too, including new ways to make your Pins more discoverable.

Today, we’re adding new recipe search filters that’ll help people hone in on exactly what they want to make. When you search for a recipe on Pinterest, you’ll be able to filter for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and paleo options that fit your lifestyle. (We also added a fun, indulgent filter for when you’re craving something chocolatey.)

You can also search for specific ingredients to get recipes that include favorite ingredients or whatever’s in your fridge. When you use the new search, you’ll get a list of dishes that include extra information like cook time, ingredients and servings.

You can see the new recipe search filters on the web right now. We’re working on bringing them to mobile soon.

Our recipe search includes millions of recipes from partners, such as:

— Vegetarian dishes from Food Network

— Vegan plates from Epicurious

— Gluten-free goods from Kalyn’s Kitchen & Leite’s Culinaria

— Paleo-friendly meals from Simply Recipes

— Indulgent treats from Nestle

A smarter recipe search is just one more step we’re taking to make Pins from businesses more discoverable to Pinners.

Thanks for Pinning with us!
