You can use these insights to update your Pins, launch a new campaign—or maybe even dream up a new product line. From pastel hues to funky foods, here’s what people want right now.
People are prepping for spring with lighter, airier color palettes. Style searches are up year-over-year for soft shades like lavender (+98%), ash rose (+105%), light yellow (+61%) and light green (+49%).1 Lighter fabrics are on the rise too. Think transparent tops (+58%) and sheer socks (+72%, and also a Pinterest 100 trend).
With so many sporting events at the beginning of the year, people are looking to shake up their game day bites. Chicken wings are getting a makeover with flavors ranging from Jamaican Jerk Spice to Parmesan Garlic and Gochujang (another Pinterest 100 trend for 2018). Searches for bacon are also on the rise as more people try the keto diet. Bacon Crack, Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus and Bacon Chips are just a few winning recipes.
Cat-eye makeup is making its way to people’s nails. Thanks to recent runway looks, cat-eye manicures are up 792%. Nails are the most popular beauty search in March as a whole, so this one is sure to get big.2
