From lava lamps to rotary telephones and glassware in '60s pop colours, you can find it all on eBay. And it was in springtime, AKA jumble sale season, that the marketplace really took off.
When eBay France discovered that Hipstoric home — AKA interior design combining vintage and modern styles — was one of the trends featured in the Pinterest Predicts report for 2023, they decided it was the perfect time to launch their first Pinterest campaign in France.

Pinterest users visit the platform in search of inspiration and with the intent to make a purchase. In fact, shoppers on Pinterest spend 30% more each month than people on other platforms2. eBay France recognised the potential of this audience and decided to launch a major campaign to raise their profile on the platform.
To drive awareness, eBay developed ads in a mix formats – all with clear branding. The ads showed people that they can find anything that they're looking for on eBay. To encourage people to sell on eBay, the brand collaborated with two Pinterest creators, Poulette Magique and Clem Around the Corner. Through Idea ads, these creators shared tips on how to create great listings to sell on eBay.
