Get paid on Pinterest
We’re rewarding Creators differently, with a focus on building a community around shared passions and ideas. And we’re making the ways that you can monetise your content more clear and transparent, so that anyone can understand how to make money on Pinterest.
Find all the tools that you need to get started in the creator hub, right in the Pinterest app.
Tag brand partners in your Idea Pins with the paid partnership tool. Just make an Idea Pin in the app, add the paid partnership label and tag your partner brand. Once they approve the request, their brand name will appear on your Idea Pin. Brands can also choose to promote your Idea Pins as ads—expanding your reach to even more people.
When you use the paid partnership tool, you work directly with the brand to define the payment terms and process. Pinterest will not be directly involved in payment.
Tagging products in your Idea Pins makes it easier for people to browse your top picks. You can search and tag any product that you want to recommend to your audience. You can also tag Idea Pins using affiliate links, so that you earn commission when people click through and buy. Pinterest isn’t part of affiliate agreements, so your commission will depend on the terms that you’ve set up with external merchants or programmes.
Some common questions
Pinterest does not facilitate payment for monetisation programmes such as product tagging, affiliate links or brand partnerships. For those programmes, you’ll organise payment terms and logistics directly with your brand or affiliate partners.
First, make sure that you’re using the Pinterest app – the creator hub is only accessible on mobile devices. Once you’ve downloaded the app, go to your Pinterest profile page. You’ll find the creator hub button right below your bio and stats.
The paid partnership tool is available to all creators. To use the tool, you’ll need to make an Idea Pin and use the ‘advanced settings’ menu to tag a brand in your Pin.
