Driving sales with buyable Pins

shophearts is an online clothing boutique that sells unique boho chic dresses, vintage-inspired styles and affordable accessories. With 36 boards and more than 4,700 Pins showcasing their unique products and whimsical images, shophearts boutique already had a strong Pinterest presence. For the holiday selling season, however, they wanted to reach new customers and increase brand awareness even further.

To support their Christmas sales goals, shophearts used buyable Pins that let people purchase products seamlessly from Pinterest. For example, if someone searched for an item such as a jacket, a buyable Pin for a shophearts parka jacket would be displayed as available for immediate purchase. Because people never have to leave Pinterest, they’re more likely to buy the shophearts jacket, making it a win-win shopping experience for the customer and the company.

The results

“Buyable Pins made it easy for us to gain exposure and increase brand reach without the typical level of effort” said Tanya.

Using this mobile commerce solution, shophearts successfully increased sales and exceeded new customer acquisition goals. Buyable Pins drove 15% of sales and 20% of their website traffic. What’s more, 90% of customers from buyable Pins were new to shophearts.
