Reach high-intent shoppers in new markets and make it easier to launch, optimize and scale international shopping campaigns with Pinterest’s shopping tools.

A shopper in New York looking for a new sofa behaves a lot like a shopper in Berlin. They start with a vague idea, look at images online, save what they like, then come back later when they’re ready to decide. What matters in both cases is that what they see feels right for them: the right language, the right price, the right details that build confidence to buy.

For global retailers, the challenge is doing that in every market at once. No matter if activations are planned country by country or across markets, teams need a way to keep product information consistent, localized and up to date everywhere shoppers discover them.

Pinterest is an AI-powered visual search platform where the number one reason people come is to shop.1 With new international shopping tools that connect your underlying catalog to market-specific experiences, it’s much easier to deliver relevant, localized shopping journeys without rebuilding your approach every time you enter a new market.

1. Upload your full catalog to unlock global discovery

Upload your full product catalog to Pinterest. This fuels ongoing discovery in visual search. Our AI can learn from your entire range and surface more relevant products in more moments.

Pinterest supports the same catalog structures you may already use on other platforms: a single primary data source with supplemental feeds that power many countries, or separate primary country feeds that localize each market individually. On Pinterest you can choose the setup that matches how you work today:

  • Use primary country feeds when each market has its own full data source. This works well if you want more control per country. For example, different assortments, pricing rules or merchandising strategies.

  • Use country and language supplemental feeds to layer on top of your main primary data source. Country feeds localize price and currency; language feeds localize titles and descriptions. This is a lighter-weight way to handle localization when most of your inventory is shared across markets.

The goal isn’t to default to one structure but to give you the option to use the set up that best matches how your team works today.

If you don’t have localized feeds for every destination market, Pinterest can localize a primary data source for you. Simply select a new market and a data source, and we’ll automatically translate product titles and descriptions and convert prices into local currency. It’s a low-lift, few-click setup that lets you test and expand into new markets on Pinterest without heavy localization work upfront.

2. Activate multiple markets with flexible shopping campaigns

Once your catalog is localized to support multiple markets, the next decision is how you activate it. Pinterest’s multi-country campaigns and ad groups give you an option to scale and “test and learn” across multiple markets quickly.

With multi-country shopping campaigns on Pinterest, you can:

  • Run a single shopping campaign or ad group to reach several destination markets at once. Pinterest will automatically pull the right, localized products for each market from your catalog.

  • Group markets with similar pricing and conversion behavior so performance signals (clicks, add-to-carts, conversions) can help the system learn faster.

  • Use Pinterest Performance+ to handle bidding, budgets and delivery, so you can focus on the creative and structure that drive performance.

If you prefer or need to allocate budget per market, activate each country with its own campaign or ad group, while still relying on the same localized catalog and markets setup. The benefits of localization remain.

Relying on a multi-country campaign set up has two real effects:

  • More learning opportunities: Combining several markets in one campaign can give you a clearer view of how people respond to your ads, especially in smaller markets that don’t generate much activity on their own.

  • Less operational drag: Instead of juggling lots of near-identical campaigns, your team works with a clearer, consolidated structure that drastically simplifies your operations.

Whether you centralize more of your setup or keep things firmly country-led, Pinterest gives you the flexibility to activate each destination market in the way that works best for your business.

3. Manage your global presence from one place

Expanding into new markets is a meaningful investment. You need a clear view of where you’re active and how people are engaging so you can decide what to do next. That’s where the new Markets view in Catalogs comes in. From one place, you can:

  • See where you’re already running shopping campaigns and how each market is engaging (impressions and Pin clicks).

  • Add new destination markets and, optimize with a few clicks, turn on auto translation of titles and descriptions and currency conversion for prices.

  • Spot countries where localized Pins are starting to gain traction.

  • Use that overview to decide where to increase investment.

Instead of stitching together reports from separate campaigns, you get a simpler, more consistent picture of your cross-border activity and market activations, so your next move is grounded in real shopper behavior.

Start small, scale intentionally

The advertisers seeing the strongest international results on Pinterest are the ones that test, learn and then scale what works for their business. Start with one new market, choose the localization setup and campaign strategy that fit how you operate, then extend that approach to other markets as your priorities evolve.
