How Trend Badges helped Levi's own the holiday season.

By the time the 2025 holiday season rolled around, baggy jeans were everywhere; wide-leg and relaxed denim had taken over style searches, street style, and social feeds alike. Levi's had exactly the range to match the moment. The challenge was grabbing attention during the most competitive shopping season of the year.
To reach 18‑to‑34‑year‑olds ahead of the holidays, Levi's turned to Pinterest. It’s where they plan their looks for the season's big occasions. For fashion shoppers on Pinterest, inspiration is the start of the shopping journey. 61% say Pinterest helps them plan future purchases, and 59% say it’s easy to go from browsing to buying.¹ Levi's wanted to be part of those plans.
Levi's ran a phased campaign. The first phase focused on Video Completion, making sure their video-first creative was being watched all the way through by people who were actively paying attention. Once that groundwork was laid, they moved onto the next phase which involved Pinterest Performance+ Consideration to keep that same audience engaged while driving traffic to their site.
The creative spanned across video, statics, and carousels, mixing lifestyle content with more product-focused assets. But the decision that made the biggest difference was pairing their ads with Pinterest’s exclusive Trend Badges, sponsoring "Baggy Jeans" and "Denim Outfits" to show up exactly where Pinners were already looking.
"
By combining the unique power of Pinterest trends with Pinterest Performance+ optimisation, we drove standout results across Levi's priority objectives: awareness, stronger brand association, and efficient traffic."

The campaign delivered across both objectives, beating both video completion and consideration benchmarks.2 But the most telling results came from the Brand Lift Study, which gave Levi's a clearer picture of what was actually driving performance. The answer was consistent: every time a Trend Badge was part of the creative, results improved. Across every metric the study measured, badged assets outperformed those without one.2
Better Video Completion Rate compared to category benchmark²
Better oCPC compared to category benchmark²
Higher lift in brand association when Trend Badge is used²
