Castlery, a digital-first furniture lifestyle brand founded in Singapore, wanted to expand their reach and drive web conversions more efficiently. As an established Pinterest advertiser with a strong track record on the platform, the brand was ready to take their marketing strategy, processes, and growth plans to the next level.
With that in mind, Castlery set out to evaluate its current manual campaign setup against Pinterest’s fully automated Pinterest Performance+ full suite—aiming to identify the most cost-effective way to accelerate performance and optimise return on ad spend (ROAS).


To explore the impact of automation, Castlery worked with Pinterest and its APAC sales partner, Aleph, to develop and launch a strategic A/B test. The team compared two campaign setups: a manual Catalogue Sales campaign and a fully automated approach powered by the Pinterest Performance+ suite.
While Castlery typically targets shoppers aged 25 and over, this test also expanded the targeting window—giving the Pinterest Performance+ automation space to identify new high-intent audiences. The fully automated campaign used Shopping ads, with features including direct links and automated targeting, helping to guide and accelerate the path to purchase.
To assess impact, Castlery focused on three core performance metrics: return on ad spend (ROAS), average order value (AOV), and cost per acquisition (CPA).

Castlery’s test delivered noteworthy results: the Pinterest Performance+ full suite campaign achieved a 2.3x increase in return on ad spend, a 98% boost in average order value, and a 14% decrease in cost per acquisition compared to their manual setup.1 It showed how automation, guided by human expertise, can lead to stronger outcomes and lower-funnel performance.
