Netflix boosts Bridgerton awareness with trend-led Pinterest creative

The Opera Aesthetics Pinterest Predicts badge boosted awareness for Bridgerton.

Goal

Bridgerton has built its identity around lush period settings, romantic tension, and a visual world that people can picture before they've watched a single episode. For Netflix Australia’s launch of the show's latest season, the challenge wasn't awareness in a broad sense. It was memorability: making Bridgerton the show women were already thinking about before they ever hit play.

People on Pinterest actively seek out visual inspiration around fashion, decor, and entertainment, the exact categories Bridgerton's cinematic aesthetic speaks to. Netflix wanted to test which combination of formats, creative approaches, and targeting tactics would do the most to lift awareness in the critical weeks around launch.

Strategy

The creative insight that shaped the campaign came from Pinterest Predicts. Opera Aesthetic, the 2026 trend forecasting a wave of ornate, theatrical visual inspiration, mapped perfectly onto Bridgerton's world of candlelit ballrooms and romantic excess. Netflix leaned into that alignment, building creative that carried the Pinterest Predicts Opera Aesthetic badge and positioned Bridgerton as the show for that moment on the platform.

That creative decision anchored a phased, multi-format campaign. An anticipation phase used trailers and talent-led content to build excitement before the season went live. A release phase followed with scenes, series snippets and further trailers to sustain momentum once the show was available. Across both phases, Netflix ran a mix of Premier Spotlight Takeover with editorial sponsorship, Max Width Video and Standard Video, a multi-format approach designed to maximise reach and keep Bridgerton visible on Pinterest throughout the full launch window.

"

Bridgerton has a strong visual identity, and Pinterest is where that kind of aesthetic lands. Aligning with a Pinterest PredictsTM Trend such as Opera Aesthetic, sharpened our campaign on the platform, and the numbers reflected it."
